Commencement Weekend in Dallas

Mark your calendars for an unforgettable Commencement Weekend in Dallas, taking place on March 7-8, 2025. The festivities will kick off on Friday, March 7, with an Alumni Celebration (details and location to be announced). The main Commencement events are scheduled for Saturday, March 8, at the iconic Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX. The Leavitt School of Health and School of Education will hold their ceremony at 9:30 AM (check-in begins at 8:30 AM), followed by the School of Business and School of Technology at 1:30 PM (check-in at 12:30 PM). Join us as we honor graduates and their achievements during this exciting weekend! (Details are subject to change.)

RSVP Information

To participate in the WGU Commencement, students must meet specific eligibility criteria. These include having a Graduation Application submitted to the Student Records department or being enrolled in their final course, such as a capstone or final certification. Exceptions apply to students completing direct hours for field experience or student teaching. Students not meeting these requirements should wait until eligibility is confirmed before submitting their RSVP.

How to Submit RSVP for Final Course Students?

Students enrolled in their final course can email [email protected] with “Final Course” as the subject line. Be sure to include the desired commencement ceremony details in the email.

  • Local alumni invited to the event can bring up to 3 guests.
  • This limit ensures more graduates can participate and celebrate with their loved ones.

Commencement Ceremony

  • Graduates are encouraged to bring up to 8 guests to avoid exceeding venue capacity.
  • Additional guests are welcome, but it is advised to stay within the recommended number.
  • Tickets are not required to attend most commencement ceremonies.
  • Exceptions: Tickets are mandatory for ceremonies in Atlanta, Georgia (Gas South Arena) and Seattle, Washington (Climate Pledge Arena).

Graduates do not need to inform the Commencement Office about changes in their guest count.
